Season 12: Through the Eyes of Jesus – Mental Health & the Christian Walk

Season 12: Through the Eyes of Jesus – Mental Health & the Christian Walk

Mental health. For years, it was a whispered topic — often avoided, misunderstood, or oversimplified in faith communities. But the truth is, many Christians are silently struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, and emotional exhaustion. The question is no longer if mental health matters, but how we respond to it as followers of Christ.

That’s why we’ve dedicated Season 12 of Through the Eyes of Jesus to the intersection of mental health and faith — and we’re inviting you to walk this journey with us.

Why Mental Health? Why Now?

We’re living in a time of increasing emotional overwhelm. Young people are reporting higher levels of anxiety than ever before. Ministry leaders are burning out at alarming rates. Families are navigating grief, trauma, and loss in ways they never expected. And in the midst of it all, many wonder where God is in their pain.

But Scripture shows us a God who sees the brokenhearted, heals the wounded, and walks with us through the darkest valleys. Mental health isn’t something we must hide from God — it’s something we can bring into His presence.

What to Expect This Season

In each episode, we’ll address key mental and emotional challenges — not from the angle of self-help or surface-level advice, but through the compassionate, healing lens of Jesus. You’ll hear:

  • Real conversations about anxiety, depression, and trauma

  • Biblical insights on emotional wellness and spiritual health

  • Practical steps for finding peace in the middle of pain

  • Encouragement for those struggling silently

  • Wisdom for those supporting loved ones with mental health needs

Whether you’re in a battle right now, walking alongside someone who is, or just wanting to understand more, this season was made with you in mind.

Faith and Mental Health Belong Together

Sometimes we hear the message that if our faith were strong enough, we wouldn’t feel anxious or depressed. But that’s not what Jesus taught. Jesus never shamed the hurting — He healed them. He sat with the weary. He welcomed the broken. And He invites us to do the same — for others and for ourselves.

Mental health doesn’t mean you’re failing spiritually. It means you’re human. And Through the Eyes of Jesus, we see a Savior who understands.
